Physical symptoms of depression

Depression has become a growing problem globally. It is found that over 10 million American populations are affected by depression. Though depression is more connected to the mental stability of a person, there are also physical symptoms of depression. But it is hard to connect a physical problem with depression. Even many doctors forego this issue and instead treat them as a physical illness. Back pain, Head ache, chest pain, disorder in sleep and appetite, diarrhoea, nausea, constipation, muscle ache, fatigue, etc are some of the physical symptoms of depression. There is no depression without a cause or symptom.
Though they seem to be very common issues, they are some of the physical symptoms of depression. Hence no care is taken unless it becomes a major issue. The various physical symptoms of depression that are misdiagnosed are
a) Head ache – If not taken care may lead to a migraine which leads to severity in depression.
b) Chest Pain – mistaken to be heart attack
c) Disorder of sleep and Appetite – Either lack of or excess of sleeping and eating are basic symptoms that may lead to depression.
It is best advisable to look into any common physical disorder at the right time. It is best opted to choose the best treatments for depression.
